CNPC and Turkmengaz State Concern sign framework agreement on expanding natural gas cooperation

On August 29, with the witness of Chinese President Hu Jintao and Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov, CNPC President Jiang Jiemin and Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Tachberdi Tagiyev signed a framework agreement on expanding cooperation in natural gas sector between CNPC and Turkmengaz State Concern in Ashgabat, capital of Turkmenistan.
According to the agreement, oil companies of the two countries shall further reinforce their cooperation based on current achievements in order to boost natural gas supply to China.
On the same day, President Jiang Jiemin and B. Khojamukhammedov, Chairman of Turkmengaz State Concern also signed a technical agreement above the sale-and-purchase agreement between CNPC and Turkmengaz State Concern.
