CNPC’s major development tests yield great achievements

Posted on August 13, 2008 – 3:56 pm | by oilandgaspress.com

In 2008, CNPC has witnessed great breakthroughs and progress in its major development tests, such as improving water-flooding recovery of high water-cut reservoirs, tertiary oil recovery, development of low and ultra-low permeability reservoirs and thermal recovery of heavy oil in Daqing, Xinjiang and Liaohe oilfields. Integrated and matching technologies have been formed and some of which have already been put into industrial application.

CNPC’s major development tests focus on bottleneck technological problems in oilfield development that need to be solved urgently. With the aim of seeking for alternative development technologies to increasing producing rate of reserves, enhancing oil recovery efficiency, boosting individual well output and lowering cost, the tests were undertaken by CNPC’s major oilfields based on high technology and innovative thinking.
