PETROBRAS, Adjustment in Gasoline and Diesel Prices

(Rio de Janeiro, April 30, 2008). – PETRÓLEO BRASILEIRO S/A - PETROBRAS, [Bovespa: PETR3/PETR4, NYSE: PBR/PBRA, Latibex: XPBR/XPBRA, BCBA: APBR/APBRA], a Brazilian international energy company, is adjusting the price of the below-listed products at the refineries, as of midnight of May 2nd according to the following table:

 

Adjustment in realization price:               without CIDE, PIS/Cofins and ICMS
 
Gasoline                                                               10 %
 
Diesel                                                                   15 %
  
The prices of gasoline and diesel which the adjustment applies do not include federal taxes (CIDE, PIS/Cofins) and state taxes (ICMS).

These price adjustments were calculated by the Company taking into account the new levels of international oil price. They incorporate medium and long-term perspectives and are in accordance with the specifications defined in the Strategic Plan to maintain the price of oil products linked to the international market.

 

It is with the income received from the sale of our products that Petrobras is able to achieve its investment program, consequently discovering more oil and gas, constructing and operating industrial plants and developing transportation and logistics network that guarantees the domestic supply of oil products and the returns for its stockholders.
