Oil production resumes in Villano field in Ecuador -Eni

Eni is the operator of the Villano Field with a 100% share through a service contract. The field production is approximately 28,000 barrels of oil per day (17,000 net to Eni)
San Donato Milanese (Milan) - 1 April 2008 - Eni resumed oil production yesterday from the Villano field in Ecuador.
On 28 March production was temporarily suspended due to an act of sabotage in which the main power line that connects to the field installations was burned and rendered inoperable.
The Government of Ecuador has been very responsive in providing security that allowed Eni to safely repair the power line and investigating the incident to ascertain who was responsible.
